Aufgaben
As a Leadership Development Manager you will take on responsibility for implementing and overseeing Leadership Development within ZEISS' Consumer Markets business sector. Your key role will be to drive forward Talent Development within this segment of Zeiss, developing leaders to grow in line with Zeiss' progressive plans as a global innovation leader.
Alongside the everyday challenges associated with leading a consumer-related division of the business, the Leadership Development Manager will also need to focus on various key challenges.
Key challenges:
- Defining concepts of upskilling: The Leadership Development Manager will be responsible for identifying areas of training needs for different individuals within the business.
- Conveying messaging to stakeholders: Due to Zeiss' scale, and matrix structure, this individual will take responsibility for their leadership action plans & justifying the steps needed within the business to various stakeholders – engaging leaders across the company.
- Full cycle observation & implementation: This individual will be tasked with monitoring the implementation of their leadership training programmes – ensure successful execution of plans.
- Carefully creating new norms: The Leadership Development Manager will be tasked with changing traditional leadership styles within Zeiss and implementing a more modern approach. They should be prepared to justify their plans & manage uncertain responses to plans.
Profil
- 10 years+ experience working within people-training and management roles.
- Track record of developing and implementing successful leadership training programmes.
- Change management initiative experience.
- Performance history and/or knowledge of working within a multinational, large-scale, business; training individuals, and nurturing leadership teams.
- Highly-observant individual. Inquisitive and curious about the way in which individuals conduct themselves & their drivers and motives.
- Analytical; able to observe patterns – measuring outcomes of implemented strategic initiatives. Also analytical of behaviour and to draw timelines & progression plans, to maximise performance moving forward.
- Communicative & vocal. This individual should be open in expressing their thoughts and be happy to speak with individuals at all levels of seniority.
- Innovative – interested in conceptualising new initiatives to best improve personal performance of individuals within the company. This individual should be creative and inspire opportunities for growth in others.
- Open minded – understanding of wide-ranging diversity within the workplace. Able to adapt leadership management training to changing company values and interests of everybody within it.
